TVR Chimaera
The Chimaera was TVR's most successful model ever. It combined a good range of engines (4.0, 4.3, 4.5 and 5 litre Rover V8s) with a huge boot making it one of the most practical sports cars ever made. Made between 1992 and 2002 TVR sold many thousands.
The roof came off (the targa panel going in the boot) and yet there was still loads of room for luggage.

Inside the Chimaera is comfortable and with power steering and simple controls it's a breeze to drive yet had plenty of torque when required.
The basic four litre model (240bhp) provided an entry point to TVR ownership for many whilst the Chimaera 500 (320bhp) was a blisteringly fast car for those seeking more grunt. The 450 (4.5 litre) proved a useful compromise in between. 4.3 models were produced in the early years but remain rare.
