TVR S Series
The history of the TVR Wedges is a complex one! The cars were produced in varying numbers but the generally low volumes of each model made meant that all manner of variants are available.
The cars first appeared on the scene in the early 1980's with the introduction of the Tasmin. The first cars were fixed head coupes using the Ford 2.8 V6. A convertible followed, along with a 2 litre version of the coupe.
A few dozen 2+2 coupes were made, mostly with 2.8 engines although six featured the Rover V8.
The V8 was to become the basis of TVR's success in the 80's. The burbling, torquey engine appealed to many drivers and coupled with a relatively lightweight chassis and in your face styling, TVR began to carve out their own niche.

1983 saw the introduction of the 350i which was followed by a number of variants including the 350SE, 390SE, 400SE and 450SE, with power climbing all the while to around 320bhp in the 450SE.
The SEAC (420 and 450) range was the pinnacle of Wedge development. Designating "Special Edition Aramid Composite", these cars featured one piece lightweight bodywork (although some did get glass fibre). Only a few dozen were made and they're are highly treasured and desirable amongst enthusiasts today.
